I've been having real problems sleeping. My sleep schedule has kind of fragmented into a wild series of unscheduled naps with no real pattern.

Three nights ago, that seemed to stabilize. I went to bed at a reasonable time, and slept the night through for the first time in probably ten days. That's not the weird part: the weird part is that when I woke up, somebody had taken my wok and made stir-fry.

The doors were all locked. Sadie didn't bark at anybody.

I put the stir-fry in some tupperware and popped it in the freezer.

The last two nights have been the same: I sleep the night through and wake up in the morning to chinese-style food; this morning it was Kung Pao pork. The doors are all locked, nothing else is disturbed.

I think I may be sleepwokking.

If you're taking sleep aids it is quite possible. In fact, it's a known side effect with Ambien in particular. Years ago there was a class-action lawsuit against the mfg. of Ambien because of that. People (including someone I knew) were getting up & cooking &/or eating without conscious knowledge of doing so. Apparently there were some who were doing other things without conscious knowledge of it; like driving! Just one reason I will never take prescription sleep-aids.

Here's a link to explain some of it:

& another specifically about eating during sleep walk episodes on Ambien:

This.

Seriously. Ambien is really kind of scary, I'd stop taking if I noticed anything out of place.

I hope this was just a punny joke. ;)

Yeah...someone local went for walk in the middle of the night in their skivvies a few weeks ago. Morning found them a few hundred yards from home frozen to the dirt.

Ambien.

But seriously? Cooking asian food in your sleep? Did you at least wake up with an aftertaste? Hungry again??

ANYTHING?

Because that's just dead weird - or a lot of work for for no pay off except a pun.
