Yes indeed. Bear in mind that I am almost entirely diametrically opposed to pretty much everything he talks about, but he just said something that I am completely in agreement with, and I'm a little floored.
It has to do with the Zacharias Moussaoui death-penalty trial. My feeling is that there is no way in hell that he should be given the death penalty because "if he had told the FBI about the plans for 9/11 it could have been prevented", which is the key point of the prosecution's case.
Thing is, there is this little thing in the constitution called the Fifth Amendment which says that you do not have to incriminate yourself, and that directly implies that you do not have to admit to criminal activity when you're being questioned by Law Enforcement. It doesn't mean that you can lie, but you do not have to admit to something that would land you in jail, or prison, or even death.
And Rush said the same exact thing.
I also believe that La Mousse is wanting to die in the belief that it will make him a martyr, which it will in some circles. I'd rather that he not have that particular out.
Aside from my being against the death penalty in general.
I do think he should be doused in the blood and entrails of a freshly slaughtered pig, which will render him unclean and unable to enter the Kingdom of Allah, even as a martyr. Then put him in solitary confinement with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera videos as his only entertainment.
