Today the sun is out, bright and clear.

Rogers yard is clean. It looks the same as normal, with the exception of his lighter that is still sitting on one of the small tables where the cops left it after prying it out of his fingers.

It's kinda weird looking out the window now. I get these little flashes of his body laying there.

Don't know what's going to become of his house. I figure I'll mow his lawn for a while until stuff gets settled with whoever it gets settled with, and generally keep an eye on the place.

It's the least I can do.

I'm back in the saddle again, sort of. I changed the bike habits a bit, decided that I was going to ease back a bit in intensity and go longer in caloric burn, which I think was a good choice. It seems to have broken the plateau while still being a good workout.

Heading up to the studio to work on the movie some more. Depending on how that progresses, I may try and boot out to see a movie or someting later.

That's a hard thing to go through, MM.

One of the reasons I believe that I've never been as successful in business as I could have been is that g33kgoddess and I survived the Ramstein AB 1988 Air Show Disaster. We had been standing at what ended up being the main impact point for most of the day. Had it not been for one dangerous maneuver (a spin right above the crowd's head at low altitude) and the smoke from some grills we would have been standing there when the planes hit.

I still get upset when I think about those events. I can still hear the crowd screaming, and the hollow "whoomp" of the first plane exploding as it rolled into the crowd.

When you've been close to something like that the little shit -- jobs, money, perceived success -- becomes a lot less important. What matters is family, friends, and time with both. Because, like I just said in my blog, money can always be earned; time is something you never, ever get back.

Just my two cents.
