Kicked all sorts of ass on the movie over the weekend. Wasn't paying much attention to the growing "blue list" (as I'm completing scenes, I mark them in blue), but on a scene by scene basis I'm almost 90% done. That's a bit misleading because I knocked out a number of easier scenes during render times, but some of the harder ones I was able to knock off the list too.

I will have to go through at least one more check pass to clear up stuff that I've forgotten or missed the first time through-- I know there are some missing pieces along the way-- but that's going to be a lot shorter list than the first one.

There is a bit of hybridization. Tony already did some sound effects and a few visual effects, so I'm kind of sneaking around those to save time. If I had more time, I'd probably do them myself-- hell, if I had more time, I'd probably go back to the original footage and reconstruct the whole thing from the ground up-- but this is one of those "we will sell no wine before its time" moments, and it's time.

It's not perfect. There are some glitches that pop in here and there, but nothing that makes me outright wince. And it's noticeably better than what we've done previously, and for a first feature it is indeed something to be proud of.

It's no X-Men. It's not even a Van Helsing. But it's also not an Ankle Biters, or Way of the Vampire.
