Back on the pony again last night. Kind of a down night, filled with infrastructure: the entire night was spent divided between working on the menus for the DVD and transferring Acid loops onto the media server-- basically copying files from a ton of CDs onto a network drive. I'm about halfway through with the loops and all but one disc of sound effects. Really I have them stored in the same place since there is kind of a blurred line between effects and some loops.
And oy, I have a lot of production sounds on the server. Wow.
Talked some with Barb last night. I was surprised at something that she said-- not so much the words as the attitude behind the words-- and it left me thinking. I've changed a lot in the past couple of years, gotten more mellow about stuff. I tried to explain it to her that I just didn't feel like putting any energy into pursuing what I see as a petty political issue, because it only leads to drama and I have enough drama in my life without accreting more.
But it also opened my eyes to something that I saw but didn't understand several years ago.
