This morning I weighed in at the lowest since the CONvergence weekend anomaly, which I don't really count because of the anomaly part. Not counting that brings me to the lowest weight I've been since I started recording around Halloween of last year, and even taking the weekly average, it's a little over 25 lbs down from Christmastime, when I at one point actually saturated my scale.

That doesn't seem like all that much, but that is coupled with body changes that I have started noticing. My man-boobs are less boob-ish, and my butt actually has some muscular definition to it. Exciting stuff, I know, but to actually visibly see and feel the progress is really important-- a lot more important than numbers on a scale.

I also have to cut a new notch in the belt. I got a leather punch specifically for that purpose a couple of months ago, and it's time again. I may also have to get new pants soon, but I'm putting that off. It's a psychological thing, I think, like somehow buying new pants is an admission of moving into a new phase in my life, and I'm not quite ready for that yet.

See all the money you'll be saving on new belts . . .

I do have a new belt that's still too small. Kinda goal-oriented. :)

New pants are a big step.

I, on the other hand, have to go buy a larger size outfit for an event coming up in a week. Seems I've put a little weight on over the last month or two. Normally, I'd just make do with elastic waistbands until the weight came off again, but I have a wedding to go to so it's off to the store to find something wedding-ish, but hopefully not too spendy.

Kind of wishing I hdn't cleaned out my closet after the last weight loss...but kind of glad I did. There's not really any going back that way (at least, not cheaply)

Re: Totally
I'm not sure it's about the not-going-back, but it's a pretty big thing. The jeans I have on now I bought back when I had lost a bunch of weight before realizing that it was a serious diabetic issue. At this point, they're way too big to wear without a belt (like several inches), and they keep almost falling off.

I think these will likely become my "before" pants.

A-freakin'-men! I know I got motivation out of actually seing a size change rather than a scale change.

On the clothing, I rember realizing that the heavier I was, the dumpier looking my choices in clothes were.

Many congratulations to you sir!

Large = dumpy, most definitely. Though I can special order some stuff in my size, it's a crapshoot on how it actually looks. Getting to a point where I can walk into a "normal" store seems like a pretty far-off thing, and I'm really never gonna be normal-sized.

Yeay, I do understand that most fat clothes are built dumpy, but some aren't.

I've seen lots of hot, sexy fat girls.

I never had the confidence to dress like them when I was heavy though. There's some joy just in knowing I look a little better that can make me pick nicer looking stuff.

Yay! Good for you!

Thanks. It's a struggle, but I am occasionally motivated by beautiful women. :)
