Three, count them, three letters from the City of Minneapolis inspections department.
(One! Two! Three letters! Ah- ha ha!)
1.) Finish the porch by September 23 2006.
2.) Remove the construction machinery from the backyard by September 9th.
3.) Remove the construction materials (i.e. wood) from the backyard by Sept 9th.
4.) Remove the "crap", etc. etc.
Of course, they're closed now, so I have to wait until Monday.
The inspection was on the day before the massive backyard/shed cleaning spree. Go figure.
Finishing the front porch construction by the 26th of September is ridiculous. A permit gives me a year. To have it finished by the 26th would require me to hire and pay a contractor to do that before the roof, and I don't know that I can afford both even with the home equity loan.
The only "construction machinery" in the back is two saws, which I need to use to do the work on the porch. Likewise the building materials.
Well, they're all understanding at the department of inspections, right?
