Indeed, there was a complaint by a neighbor. I'm pretty sure I know which one, since he hasn't been exactly shy about his complaints in the past.

We've reached an agreement, since I am working on the porch that I can keep the construction equipment and materials out, and they will give me a lot more leeway on the porch since it's an active project. I do have to renew the permit (which was planned anyway) and clean up the rest of the junk, but because I am actually doing the work, they're a lot more lenient.

I am taking suggestions as to what to do about the neighbor though. Nothing I can get arrested for, and nothing of any permanent damage.

A 1973 Dodge Dart on blocks in the front yard? Oh, wait - that's a redneck restoration.

Nope. If you have a vehicle under a tarp, it's a violation. If you have a working vehicle with expired plates not in a garage, it's a violation. If you have a vehicle parked on anything other than concrete or asphalt, it's a violation.

There are a whole lot of ordinances. Some you wouldn't believe.

The city already has an ordinance against prairie restoration. I'm in violation of it.

Hmm... maybe get a gallon of Roundup and draw a big pentacle on their front lawn? It will take a couple of years for the grass to grow back.

If you cut the strength down a little, it will take a few more days before it shows up.

Not that I would know about such things.

It takes a week or so for fertilizer designs to show up.

Better than a lawn-sprinker-shaped penis, I suppose.
