Indeed, there was a complaint by a neighbor. I'm pretty sure I know which one, since he hasn't been exactly shy about his complaints in the past.

We've reached an agreement, since I am working on the porch that I can keep the construction equipment and materials out, and they will give me a lot more leeway on the porch since it's an active project. I do have to renew the permit (which was planned anyway) and clean up the rest of the junk, but because I am actually doing the work, they're a lot more lenient.

I am taking suggestions as to what to do about the neighbor though. Nothing I can get arrested for, and nothing of any permanent damage.

Let's see ... hmmm .... how to make people go away ...

Fish guts dumped in a discrete location (under a window) right before a hot summer day ...

Call the Jehovah Witnesses, tell them you really want to know more about their religion and invite them over to your neighbors

Membership to NAMBLA? NORML?

Locate puticine and apply to anything they own ... the smell NEVER, EVER goes away ...

If you have a person's phone number, write it down, including the area code on every $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 you get. Spend them. Get your friends to do the same.

Send off a request in the neighbor's name to numerous foriegn postage stamp bureaus requesting ordering information, to be put on mailing lists, etc. The response is quite astounding. (Not that I would know.)

Get change of address cards from the post office and change the neighbor's address to someplace like Guam.

Burn a hole in someone's driveway using thermite.

Good luck.

I think change of address cards could lead back to the culprit. Seriously. Not a smart idea.

Plus, I believe that messing with the mail is a Federal offense if you get caught. Not so good.
