Came home to find Sadie had gotten into the garbage to find cat food cans and lick them clean, leaving the cans strewn. She got a stern lecture, and now she's hiding from me. Rode the bike, only to watch commercial after commercial for the McRib, which is making my mouth water, and the rage builds. I decide to put some spaghetti in the microwave, only to find that Micha has peed on the microwave yet again. I grab him and haul him up to the microwave and douse him repeatedly with water-- he's pissed off, and is now hiding in the basement.

I am angry. I want to break things. I want to yell and scream, get a bulldozer and smash the house to bits.

I don't understand where this comes from. It tastes like frustration, but it's in an entirely new category of anger.

I need...

I don't know what I need.

The cat peed on the MICROWAVE... AGAIN? What cat pees on a microwave?

And McDonald's is bringing back the MCRIB... AGAIN?

First, cat and dog deserved the lecture / dousing. Second, the McRib is NOT good and tasty, it's gross and fatty. Third, I totally get the violent ragey feelings. I get them myself sometimes... and the most mundane things bring it on when I'm under lots of different stressors. This too shall pass.

The McRib is like McCrack for me. If you've seen the Simpson's episode where Homer goes on tour after the KrustyBurger McRibWich, that's pretty damn close.

I know they're bad for me. I declare victory after avoiding getting off the bike and driving to McD's to buy a herd of them and toss 'em in the freezer.
