five things, 2006

Noticed that lately I've been pretty devoid of content. Hasn't really been intentional, but I've been retreating lately, and I'm not sure why.

avindair posted a sort-of meme that I've been avoiding, as it requires me to think about stuff that's happened in the last year and make some judgement calls, and for some reason that's uncomfortable. And because it is so, it probably means that I need to look at it, so I bring to you:

( Five Things -- The 2006 List )

Name Five Good Things That Happened to You in 2006:

1. made significant progress on the front porch
2. new roof
3. started dating someone
4. finished a feature-length movie
5. got a new computer and new software (tools)

Name Five Bad Things That Happened to You in 2006:

1. went deeper in debt
2. broke a toe
3. got a not-so-nice review at work
4. decided to shut down the studio from the public
5. severe strep throat

Name Five People Who Have Touched You in a Special Way in 2006:

1. Artemis
2. dddragonlady
3. avindair and g33kgoddess (and the rest of the family)
4. Barb
5. Sasha

Name Five Things You Achieved in 2006:

1. significant progress on the front porch
2. finished a movie
3. better weight & health management
4. took an emotional risk
5. fixed the stove

What Were The Results Of The Five Things You Wanted to Achieve in 2006?

1. finish my own movie: not even close
2. write a screenplay for a short film: some progress, but not finished
3. finish the porch: good progress, not finished
4. clean the house: hmm... some progress I suppose.
5. first goal weight: flirted with it, but didn't quite make it across the line

Name Five Things You'd Like to Achieve in 2007:

1. second goal weight
2. blood glucose average below 110
3. finish the porch
4. have a party at the Big Broken Box™
5. an erection

What was your new year's resolution for 2006, and how did it turn out?

I really don't do resolutions. Goals are fine.
