One of the coolest things I've seen in a while is a demo piece in the back room that's going to the SAE show.
Since Bose is known for speakers and sound systems, the guys in Framingham made a subwoofer attachment for one of the test systems. It's a bit of a Frankenstein's lab lookin' thing: the tester is about seven feet tall, and the subwoofer disphragm itself is about 15" in diameter. The actuator can move a small car.
They're setting it up and should be testing it this afternoon.
