So yeah, change on the horizon. I can feel it in the air, like Phil Collins when he didn't suck like a Mexican whore at a donkey show. It's dark and twisted, but full of color and rich tapestry and wrought iron.
I made arrangements with the bank today to start shoveling about 25% of my take-home pay into savings automatically. It means that what I see as far as "spending" money is less, and that I have to budget around bills more carefully, but it's in that "if I don't see it, I don't spend it" method of saving up some cash for the inevitable rainy-day-or-HVX200-package that is sure to come.
Needing to start some camera tests soon (yes mamajenzie, this means you... after your cat gets better), as the short film has now turned into the NextProject, and the special effects that I want to do may not work with my current camera, so I need to find that out ASAP. There are also some lighting rigs that I need to build to check out my battery-powered abilities, since part of the shooting is remote enough to not have available extension cords.
House first. I need to recover my living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom from the vagaries of the facade construction. All the more pointing toward needing a garage/shop/studio. I need to finish cleaning off the front porch for the inspection. I need to call and set up the appointment with the insulator to come rip off my siding and blow stuff into the walls.
It's not that much, really. But I need the energy to actually do it. And energy has been really lacking the last couple of days.
