Trouble in film land. Apparently the director absolutely hated everything that was done and was miserable, and then he let everyone know about it. In not very nice terms. Things like insubordination and incompetent. He did neglect to take responsibility for not reading the script or looking at the storyboards until the day of production.

The shooter/editor is now refusing to edit the picture, and has walked away from it.

Did a load of laundry last night. This morning, the clothes in the dryer were still quite damp, so I ran them through again. Later on, I found out that Barb had run them through twice also, so they had been through four times, and they were still damp. I ended up taking the dryer apart to clean the blower manifold which was almost completely clogged with lint. Seeing now if it works, but the airflow is a lot stronger.

One of the jobs I was up for was filled by someone with 3 years of experience. They went cheaper. I did get an e-mail from the ad agency asking for my resume-- even though I had already sent it to them.

I did get an interesting call today. Someone who had read my Synchronization basics paper. Through a weird mistake I had made, I had screwed up the link on my website, and he called to see if he could get it for a seminar he's hosting. I gave him the correct link, and we got to talking. Turns out he's the co-founder of wave media, and is hosting a seminar on the next wave of technology. We had a really cool talk on the future of computing technology, and I may be doing some work for him in the future; at least I will be getting considerable publicity. Heh. I could be a formative influence in the next wave of computing technology.

Barb and I decided that the cable was too expensive, so we called to have it disconnected. Tonight we got a call from Time-Warner wondering why, so we got to have a detailed bitch session. It was cathartic and lovely.

Tired. Long, convoluted day.
