Okay, I finally managed to get the windows ordered. With tax, just shy of $5000. I also wrangled my way over to Home Despot to pick up the hardiboard, which is a fibercement product that is designed to be a backer for tile and such-- in this case, it's going to be the backer for the stone veneer. It's heavy, but it's solid and waterproof and totally flat.

I still have to unload it from the 'Sploder. 40 lbs per sheet, 25 sheets. And it has to go around to the front, so joy awaits me outside. I've already had to load it onto the 'Sploder, go I get my workout for the day.

Gotta go do now.

Oh, dude.
Next time you do something like that, let me lend you my small trailer. I have a 4x8 trailer that I lend out to folks who are doing DIY stuff. It's way easier to use it than to struggle with getting things into and out of an SUV.

Re: Oh, dude.
I have a trailer. I decided not to use it since it wasn't gonna exceed the capacity of the SUV, and it wasn't the height that was the issue, it was the weight. The sheets are only 3 x 5, so they fit fine.
It's all unloaded now. I also have a small garden cart that works really well to haul small loads alongside the house so it wasn't horrible, just time-consuming.

But hey, if you can come out tomorrow evening and look at stuff, I can get an idea of the project issues that I might run into. I can tell already that getting your beastie to the front of the house will be a problem, but you have a better idea of what will work and what won't.
