I'm so pissed off that my hands are shaking.
First of all, don't do any business with Custom Remodelers Inc. of Lino Lakes.
We had them come out to do a sales call for having our roof reshingled. Back in August. During that time, we signed a proposal that was pending on our getting refinancing on the house.
Well, we finally met with their refinancing guy yesterday, and he said that all is good. We could get refinancing. When we told him we were still shopping around, he said to make sure that we took into account that we had a contract with CRI.
This sets off alarm bells.
So sure enough after calling them today, they are immediately threatening legal action to enforce the contract because we only had three days to cancel.
I do not take kindly to threats of legal action, particularly as a sales technique.
We did not agree to have them do the work. We did not agree to their refinancing terms. The "three days to cancel" was specifically represented as being from the time of our getting a financing deal.
This is going to be an issue.
I am being very restrained at this point.
