Okay, so I have a squash. A summer squash, I think.
I want to cook it, but I'm really not sure what to do with it. I think an oven would be involved, but I'm not sure how. Do I cut it, scoop it, slice it, or what? And what do I put on it?
a summer squash is like zucchini. the vegetable with the least personality in the universe. it will mutate however you choose. you can bake it, yes. if you just stare at it like Kreskin it might cook for the lack of will to remain. you can stuff cut it open, cut out the middle a little bit and stuff it with some onion and things. you could.
I cut up and steam summer squash, and eat it with lots of pepper.
I microwave winter squash (after sticking it with a knife), cut it open, scoop out the seed, and eat the rest with a spoon and lots of margarine. You might want to try Spike instead.
You should make a bisque with it, man. Roast it till it smells heavenly, sautee some onions, add some veggie stock and salt and pepper, scoop out your squash, add it with some cream, puree, and voila! yums. =)
