Wow, solid meetings today. I just got to eat lunch at 4:00, it was so busy.

Lots of stuff going back and forth on animals at Omegacon. Some good points, some WTF ones. I'm pretty much staying out of the fracas, as I wasn't bothered by critters in any way. That being said, I can understand the desire to keep critters out of food-prep areas and places of potential allergen interaction.

I have fuzzy pets that I wouldn't bring to Omegacon. Sadie would have complete fits of barkiness and crotch-sniffing that would annoy even those who enjoyed wet-nose-in-the-crotch (not naming names, you know who you are), and of the four dogs and the microkitten that were there, I felt they were extremely well-behaved.

I'm guessing that there will be a pet policy in place for next year. I'm guessing it will be along the lines of "no non-working pets in convention badged areas". Exceptions will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

On an entirely different note, the green LEDs that I was wearing on Saturday are still glowing.
