I've been trying to think of a story to turn into a short film, one that I could shoot at the Big Broken Box™ and other places I have access to. It struck me over the weekend that I have this nifty collection of stories already written and stored right here on LJ, tagged with writing. Ones that I've written, ones that I don't need to search for the rights to and all that nonsense.

So I started looking back on some of the writing that I've done. Hell, some of it's not bad. While this one is my current favorite, it's much more something that would be better done in Austin, and there's a lot more story there to go. It's this one that holds some promise.

It's not quite ready as-is. There isn't enough to go on as to where either the woman or "Tom" comes from, and it might fly too close to the Terminator franchise for comfort. And I don't really like the way it ends, not completely.

But it's got the bones of something there.
