Since when did the age of majority become 14?

And why, oh why can LJ not use my birthdate (which is on my profile) to determine that I am at least 14 years old instead of requiring me to click a button every damn time I want to see a particular entry?


Edit: Never mind, my LJ-cookie got munched. All is well again.
