As you probably know by now, I've been noodling around with the idea for a movie for a while. Nothing has really been hitting me all that hard, particularly things that can be done on no budget, shot on evenings and weekends with the resources available to me.

I have plenty of ideas, but they all need considerably more resources and time than I have available. I also have a few things that are half-baked, bits and pieces of ideas that have no coherence.

Last night, I was dreaming. It wasn't a particularly scary dream, but when I woke up this morning, I was still half-stuck in the dream world. It's not the first time that's happened, but something came over with me, something clicked.

I think I have my story. Or at least a theme, a backbone to lay the story on. And it's something that I understand, that sits close to my heart.

Hey avindair, if I end up doing this, I'm gonna steal something from one of the original PFD openings that we never shot, okay? It fits right in, and since we already did the preliminary work on how to shoot it, I know where to go.

Damn, this feels exciting again.
