The internet is for porn!

creepy eyelashes

It really looks creepier than the pictures. I think it's the eyes that are creepy-- they look pretty real, even up close. They got the shape of the lens right.

creepiest thing on the internet all night.

you win the internets.
Apr. 8th, 2008 05:59 am (UTC)
Yea, but I think babies and children in general are creepy.
Apr. 8th, 2008 01:24 pm (UTC)
I like children.

Their flesh is tender and rends easily from the bones.

It's a darn good thing most of us come out of our mother's womb as fully-formed adults then. Oh, wait...
Apr. 8th, 2008 05:36 pm (UTC)
That would be painful...
Apr. 8th, 2008 05:44 pm (UTC)
As opposed to actual childbirth, which I have heard is a lot like pooping a piano.
Apr. 8th, 2008 05:54 pm (UTC)
Exactly like pooping a piano. That's why so many human beings have brothers and sisters. We moms just can't get enough of crapping in the key of G.
Apr. 8th, 2008 06:03 pm (UTC)
Except Danny Elfman's mom, who pooped in D-minor.
Apr. 8th, 2008 06:13 pm (UTC)
I don't think Danny Elfman is human. No human being would compose music like that.

Dude, you are practically slender these days.

And you should do something disturbing with that baby head.
Apr. 8th, 2008 01:25 pm (UTC)
Now would I do something disturbing with the creepy baby head? Particularly since I got two of them?
Apr. 8th, 2008 05:51 pm (UTC)
If you want something that will wig people out universally, skip babies and dolls... use pets. Even the highly-selfish get attached to animals.

The place that I get my skeletons now has a medium-sized dog skeleton. It's a bit out of my "experimenting" price range, but there is a certain squick factor that comes from it, and zombie dogs are always good. I'm kinda bummed because they used to have a small dog and cat skeletons too, and they seem to have discontinued them.

The thing is that the doll heads are more anthropomorphic than an animal, and things that look not-quite-human tend to be terrifying in the movie sense.

Of course, the thing that I think is the most terrifying is the thing that you never quite really see.

>Of course, the thing that I think is the most terrifying is >the thing that you never quite really see.

I agree. Instead of full skeletons, what about "pelts" covering a basic frame that only gives the suggestion of it being skeletal? Much cheaper than buying an animal skeleton and fake fur and chamois (especially if it's zombified grossness) would work fine with the right lighting. Especially if it's not quite seen clearly.

Yep. I've done that for a while, though the full skels are nice for specific things that are... well, skeletal. Part of the monster making is to shell one of the skeletons into a corpse then do a set of molds so I can cast corpse parts as needed without paying for a full skeleton again and again-- they raised the price significantly on 'em now. And foam is a hell of a lot lighter than the thermoplastic that the actual skeletons are made of.

As for the creature that you never see clearly-- that's one of the future projects in the funnel. I thought I talked about that when I was up at Casa de Bruno last. Alas, there will be some time between now and then as I have been humbled by hubris.

At least it's known.

I don't think I qualify as slender quite yet. I no longer weigh as much as an upright piano or a pole pig transformer-- now I weigh as much as a commercial ice machine.

Still a way to go.
Apr. 8th, 2008 11:51 pm (UTC)
Does that mean you're cool on the inside, now?
Apr. 9th, 2008 12:09 am (UTC)
It's like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna hork.
Apr. 8th, 2008 04:11 pm (UTC)
Definitely the eyelashes that make it creepy.
Apr. 8th, 2008 05:44 pm (UTC)
It's creepier in person. The pictures make it look downright cute.
