It turns out that aside from the workflow being different in high def, the requirements of lighting are different too. Some of this is the camera (Darthcam eats light like a 19th century London streetwalker eats strawberries), but the look of the lighting is actually more filmlike.

That's cool, in that it makes getting a film look easier to achieve. It also means that it's easier to screw up.
