I'm not really doing the Facade this year;
lio is pretty much doing all of the nasty work. I'm making custom rope-and-stanchion dividers for various things, and there are a lot of them. Initial count was 24, and I figured out a way that I can swing a few more in the process, so I have a kind of assembly-line thing happening in my basement. As a part of this, I have to get a bandsaw. Notice the justification there.
No, really, it's something that I've wanted for a while, and this job is perfect for it. I'll be able to use it for other stuff as well, so it's not a complete wankfest. I will have to wait until this weekend to get it, but I'm okay with that. There's enough work to do between now and then that I won't be at a total loss.
Oooh, hey... the MISFITS picnic is this weekend. I was thinking that I wasn't gonna go because of the amount of work I need to do, but it just struck me that I could bring some of the assembly-type work and perhaps abscond with a few bits of help from unwary picnic-goers who might be so inclined. It's actually pretty easy stuff, it's just that there's a lot of it to do.
