Hit up Micro Center for some knicknacks & doodads this morning before going to meet maatnofret for some hang time and convo, which means yes I was social and got my ass out of the house. And really, it was a quite nice time, though giving someone a gift that doesn't work just seems to be my speed.

Then I went back to the house for some chores that needed doin'.

First was the harvest.

Before you get yer panties in a bunch, it's catnip. Turns out that I had a little catnip patch growing in back, and when I was cutting down the weeds in back, I harvested these and let 'em dry. Today I cut off the flower tops and put 'em in baggies, and now I have a very happy kitty.

Also worked on trying to get the lawnmower running with a mild form of success-- I'm gonna have to take the carburetor apart and give it a rather thorough cleaning. It's a 5HP Tecumseh, so I could do it in my sleep, but it's a bit tedious and pretty damn messy. I could probably do a photo essay on it, and maybe save somebody a few bucks in the long run.

Gave up in the end, and took Sadie for short walkies. Figured I needed some more exercise, so I ended up doing six sets of ten reps each of bench presses, chest pulls, and crunches. It was maybe a half hour, but with a half hour of walkies, it should be good. Six sets was all I could manage, but it's up from the five sets last time.

Now I'm gonna hang out and watch the last half of 30 Days of Night before bed.
