Computawoes

So after all is said and done, I have the computer working again. Or at least to a point-- you see, there is a stability problem where the system just locks up for no apparent reason that I can determine. I don't know whether it is a hardware issue, a software issue, a driver issue, or what. I haven't been able to narrow down what triggers it quite yet.
On one hand, I could just wipe the drive and start with a clean install. There is a lot to be said for that, as it would force me to clean up my system, and I do have install disks for just about everything that I use on a regular basis. It would be a good organizing tactic, and would clean up a lot of crap that I don't use.
On the other hand, it is a drastic action that will take a couple of days to complete.
I think at this point I can afford to wait a few days to see if I can figure out what is causing the crash.

Then there is the project-for-next-year list, which includes moving the control room for the studio into the adjoining room so that I have a separate work space and studio space. Could be really cool, but a lot depends on the happenings of early January.
