Happy Halloween!

Went over to Tiff's place tonight, she made dinner: excellent meatloaf, baked taters and green beans to the yum. I made a baked apple thingy for dessert that wasn't too bad, and we watched the last episode of season 2 of Dexter. I must get this show now, it is really really well done and I absolutely LOVE the way they tell the story with the camera.

Her cats have claimed me as their own. Even Pixie the Aloof jumped on me to lay across my shoulders a couple of times and now lets me rub her belly without trying to attack.

And there was some good snugglin' too. With Tiff, not the kitties. Though there was also some kitty snugglin' too, but a whole different thing.

I'm not going to get to do the haunting stuff that I wanted to do because of money being short. It was a tradeoff between job hunting and Omegacon, and I just can't justify the expense. It makes me sad, but it is what it is and I'll get over it.

Life gets in the way of fun sometimes.

I'm not going either, and we'll hang out with a couple others. I suspect I know you'll be hanging with. That actually sounds like a good thing. : )

Yes indeed. :)

I'll be going over tomorrow afternoon. I think we're gonna walk the stone arch bridge.

Among other things.

If I could get free tickets, would you want to go to Trail of Terror on Saturday?

Ooooo... free is good, yes.

Lemme verify with the blonde one and see if she can go. I'm thinking the hayride might be difficult, but we can certainly check. :)

I prefer the hayride far more then the barn so I may just end up in line alone *shrugs* I'm a grown adult. I'll deal. :D Otherwise, I could ask around to see if they make any kind of concessions for her.

That would be excellent. I can lift her into the wagon and all, but the idea of the powerchair in that line is just not good.

I don't think any of the trailers of terror are accessible, but none of them really strike me as being worth going through anyway.

And there's the parking... last year there was that godawful bus ride, and that would probably kill it right there.

Does she has a handicap tag? That would solve parking right there. I can't believe they wouldn't let you drop her off right up front either way. And my bet is she gets bounced to the front of the lines (They do that at most amusement parks).

Made a call. We can drop her off in front. (No busing this year.) They have a new system for the hayride and the barn. You get numbers for one then the other and just watch for your numbers. SO no skip to the front of the line but no real line either.

I was warned that there are some portions of the barn that are 'unmaneuverable' for wheelchairs. I don't know if that means there are stairs or if the opening is just too small.

She does have a handicap tag as well as a van with a ramp.

I'm curious about the number scheme. That sounds like it might be a nice way of handling the line-crashers that are such a part of that hayride.

Concerned about the "unmaneuverable". I'd think they'd be ADA-compliant out of necessity... maybe I could do a walk-through first and see what would be the issue, or I could just call them myself.

I'll ask her tonight.

Okay, I called-- I understand what they are talking about, and it shouldn't really be an issue.
