When sending me an initial contact e-mail for a potential job, asking me for my current salary and Social Security Number is a really good way to get your e-mail dumped in the trash bin.

And yes, posting your resume with contact information on internet jobsites does result in scam job offers. Another good one is stating that this job is perfectly legal in the US.
