Exhausted

Both Barb and I are spent and well into emotional (and physical) numbness. Rocky and Teresa came over today to help with the cleanup, and brought us Easter dinner (ham, mashed taters, salad and bunny cake) which was a wonderful idea as neither one of us felt like cooking.

We moved the firewood pile to a new more-aesthetically-pleasing location, moved all of the construction and salvage wood inside to the basement, and did general cleanup and raking of the yard amd general exterior of the house. I'm pretty sure that the city will find more to complain about, as they have people that are paid to find things wrong, and I believe that we are on the "heavy inspections" rotation.

Of course, later today I won't bew able to move. I'm having difficulty typing because my arms are so stiff, but that's the price you pay for not being able to afford slave labor.

Sorry, I'm still a little ticked off at some asshole who I had a web-discussion with. He took the tack that I should take responsibility for my lazy ass and get a job.

I went off on him. I don't remember an infusion of complete and utter wrath coursing through my system since my college days, but it did. I can't even begin to consider where I got some of the language that I used with this guy, my momma must have been a sailor. Generally I try to be nice, but this was one time I didn't even try.

And you know what? It felt good.

Downside is it didn't help.

I am amused.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death...."
And it was very reasonably priced at the local toy store.

Video game publisher 3DO Co., on Tuesday said it had signed a licensing deal to develop toy action figures based on an upcoming game featuring the biblical "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse": War, Pestilence, Famine, and Death.

The game, with voice-overs from actors like Tim Curry and former porn star Traci Lords, is a present-day tale featuring the archangel Abaddon battling the plagues embodied by the Horsemen.

The poseable figures will be developed by Stan Winston Creatures, 3DO said.

Winston -- an Academy Awards winning special effects maker who has done creature effects on films like "Aliens" and "Jurassic Park" -- is a consultant on the game and has already optioned the feature film rights.

Players in the game must seek help of three "chosen" individuals to save the world -- a prostitute, a serial killer and a corrupt politician.

In a statement, 3DO listed among the game's features "incredible gore and destruction effects including dismemberment, realistic and dynamic exit wounds through objects and people, morph animations, and blood splatters."

The gory game will be available in time for the holiday season, the Redwood City, California-based company said.

Plan for the day:
I think sleep. And most likely work on the website and commercials to come. And a nice, long shower.

I'm thinking about a garage sale (or garbage sale as me uncle wally used to say). Ironic, no longer having a garage. Then again, ebay is maybe easier to handle. A lot of the stuff I have is not likely to go well in a garage sale. Then again, a lot of stuff needs to just get tossed.

I am not a pack-rat. I am a pack-capybara.

I have an interview!

Tomorrow morning. In Blaine. Hoppity hop hop!
