Quick update

I made it to Tennesee without incident, other than driving for 16 hours straight which I am no longer as able to do as I once was. On top of that, the time difference for being in the Eastern time zone and having to be here at 7:30 in the morning made for a not-restful-enough sleep, so I'm a zombie today.

Many thoughts on the trip down, which hopefully I can detail more when I get back next week-- this week looks to be busy-busy.

One word to describe:

I haven't really been here during the day when I could actually see anything yet, but there are some amazing rocky hill/mountains that I'll try and get some pictures of.

Cool things: the company (iPix) headquarters were remodeled in the computer heyday, so it's bloody posh. They have a rec room with a pool table, foosball, and air hockey, as well as a rather nice kitchen with an icemaker. They also have a video editing suite with a widescreen format computer monitor that has me drooling all over, as well as HDCAM equipment. If they had a shower here, I'd never leave.

I'm really tired now, and I'm gonna go home and read up on client-server architecture. I may have to implement network rendering, and I'm not entirely sure how to do that.
