Nightmare on Blather Street

Got almost no sleep last night-- weird anxiety nightmarish thoughts kept me tossing and turning without really getting anything resolved.

Which makes my ratehr perky mood today all the more puzzling.

It could be that I am for once working on a part of the project that I enjoy and understand, and I am not blocked by other people's ideas of what should be done. Although technically I am doing work that should belong to someone else, it is a part that needs to be complete for me to test my own stuff, and the group that should be doing it does not feel that it is a priority. Which is really understandable since they are told by management that they have other priorities.

Today I am working on sample code for a .WAV file reader. And I am kicking ass doing it, which is also making the day fly by, which is also a good thing.

This weekend is cleaning the apartment, doing some CAD work, and watching mooovies on DVD. I'm getting quite a collection down here, including "Buckaroo Banzai" and "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy". More than enough to keep my couch-potato-ness sated.

Hey, has anybody seen "Jacob's Ladder" out on DVD yet?
