How quirkyalone are you?
Your score was 110. Very quirkyalone:
Relatives may give you quizzical looks, and so may friends, but you know in your heart of hearts that you are following your inner voice. Though you may not be romancing a single person, you are romancing the world. Celebrate your freedom on National Quirkyalone Day, February 14th!

"For the quirkyalone, there is no patience for dating just for the sake of not being alone. On a fine but by no means transcendent date we dream of going home to watch television. We would prefer to be alone with our own thoughts than with a less than perfect fit. We are almost constitutionally incapable of casual relationships."

"Still, there are advantages. No one can take our lives away by breaking up with us. Instead of sacrificing our social constellation for the one all-consuming individual, we seek empathy from friends. Friends are more than people to while away the time with until we find a significant other. Indeed, we have significant others."

Boy, this resonates on a whole new wavelength.

Tornillo de ajuste

Awake again, dreams again. Almost able to verbalize the problem; I should have written it down last night when I had the chance. It has something to do with getting the directories right, but a VPN keeps popping in my head for some reason.

Solidity. Consequence. Construction and turbulence all seem to point to the same thing. They all converge in a neon flash of every color in visual sequence so bright it overloads the brain into just seeing a blackness of intensity.

Derailed thought. Shunning discipline. Why am I still awake? The Sleep Monster is here with me, looking over my shoulder to see if I write about him, because he gets excited when I talk about his new braids and the green skin with the red pustules. He thinks they're pretty. I think he looks diseased, but the braids are nice.

UGO: House of the Dead wasn't critically acclaimed at all, what did you learn from that experience that you took with you to Alone in the Dark?

UWE: That a script matters and I shouldn't start shooting before the script was right. The script was written by Mindfire and they had the rights. I changed a lot on set, like taking out cheesy dialogue and adding action. Could you imagine House of the Dead with 20 percent less action?

UGO: I'd really rather not.

UWE: Right but nobody can say that House of the Dead was a slow movie with not enough action in it. This was not the case with Alone in the Dark. I tried to bring that H.P. Lovecraft mood and story into it, the idea that nature is going after humanity for revenge.
