And once in a while you hit one out of the ballpark.

Interviewed a guy today who rocked. Reminds me of me-- started out in hardware, did a lot of tweaking and hacking of stuff to make it work better. And for the last three years he's been out of work, so he's been remodeling his house. The best part is that we get to offer him a job where he gets to start by working out of his house.

And he lives less than a mile away.

It's days like these that make me dread filling up the gas tank.

I've thought of getting a bicycle and riding to work. But it's 13 miles one way. And on days when it rains or snows, a bike isn't really an effective means of transportation. Plus it's another half-hour each way added to my commute at best.

I can't afford another car. And since I do need to be hauling stuff quite frequently, I need something with towing capability and cargo room.

And the cab has to be big enough to take my bulky presence.

So all I really need is a Solar/hybrid Hummer, and I'm golden.
