(no subject)

I've been listening to my MP3 player at work a lot. It strikes me that I have really esoteric tastes in music, but that the majority of what I have sort of fits into a goth/punk/postmodern flavor. It's not my entire music collection-- hell, I don't think I could even find my entire music collection-- but it's enough that on random play I am often surprised by what I hear.
One of the joys is finding an online repository of "Lights Out" radio plays from the late 1930's/early 1940's, flowing through the peak of WWII time. Hearing these plays within that context is fascinating, particularly with the intermissions and advertisements. And on random play, they come up betwixt songs and surprise me. It's rather nice, though now I have a desire for ironized yeast tablets.

I need more Nick Cave and Tom Waits though.
