Your result for Test Who You Are in the Steampunk Ether City of Salmagundi...

Arcanist-Major Edmund Ras (the Sorcerer)

You are Arcanist-Major Edmund Ras of the Praxian Alliance, assigned as liaison to the Legion of Peace. You are a scholar, a scientist, and a sorcerer, in a city that distrusts the first two and despises the third. Though you are kind-hearted and concerned about the betterment of others, the hostility you routinely encounter has left you jaded and sardonic. You have a sharp tongue and a very dark sense of humor, and you delight in mocking those with irrational fears and prejudices. Your outlook on life teeters between the optimistic and the resigned, and you still can’t decide if humanity is worth the trouble. Still, even if humanity is doomed to self-destruction you are willing to risk your life to give it just one more generation.

Your result for The Steampunk Style Test...

The Gadgeteer

You are the Gadgeteer, the embodiment of steampunk technology. Ironically, many of the things that most define your style are probably too large to easily carry about, but given the opportunity you would prefer to be seen surrounded by boiler engines, gear-driven calculators, and incredible automata. Of all the steampunk fashion styles, you place the greatest emphasis on technological accessories, and you are the most likely to create elaborate gadgets that are as much a part of your outfit as your clothes. You probably have goggles, but unlike most people you consider them to be for more than decoration. Whereas most people might look odd carrying a satchel of tools around, for you they may well be essential. Above all, you remind everyone that what sets the genre apart from Victoriana is simply the level of technology.

Livejournal seems to be running slow today. I think my brain may be running slow too, since I'm right on the verge of falling asleep.

Summer is wasting away, and I wanna play! Tonight is either funsex or I'm gonna make stuff that goes 'splody. I know which I prefer, and I know which is more likely.

The flavor of these days is exhausting; between hitting a crunch time at work, having to do a bunch of stuff on the house in short order, and general living, I found myself with my entire body clenched last night trying to get to sleep. Several times. I'd rather not be doing that.

Walkies went short last night, mostly because I spent some time picking up materials at 'Nards to build the detail pieces and I didn't get home until an hour later than usual.

The corner trim pieces I'm doing negative-space molds for, because I want to do some layering to the construction, and keeping the outside dimension solid is the piece I really need to keep. If I do it right, the pieces should look like polished marble or quartzite. A neg-space mold gives me a lot of options to play with for layering, but is harder to conceive/design, particularly with complex angles.

Klein Sexual Orientation Grid

I scored an average of -2

01 2 3 4 5
6

HeterosexualBisexual Homosexual

Meaning

This result can also be related to the Kinsey Scale:

0 = exclusively heterosexual
1 = predominantly heterosexual, incidentally homosexual
2 = predominantly heterosexual, but more
than incidentally homosexual
3 = equally heterosexual and homosexual
4 = predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally
heterosexual
5 = predominantly homosexual, incidentally heterosexual
6 = exclusively homosexual

Summary

The idea of this exercise is to understand exactly how dynamic a person's sexual orientation can be, as well as how fluid it can be over a person's lifespan. While a person's number of actual homo/heterosexual encounters may be easy to categorize, their actual orientation may be completely different. Simple labels like "homosexual", "heterosexual", and "bisexual" need not be the only three options available to us.
