Talked to Rick last night about moving in, and it seems like it's a very good chance at this point. It works out well for everyone-- I've known Rick for something like 20 years now, and I trust him quite well.
I'll have to get a new lawnmower. And I can sell the push mower at the yard sale.
Brief moment of grief at the loss of the relationship. So many memories, so many projects not done, so many jokes that won't make sense to anybody else. Sad. Sad, sad, sad.
I have been sidetracked by a simple encryption/decryption algorithm. It is simple and easily broken using standard cryptoanalysis tools, but it is still kinda neat. I'm doing a quickie program to handle the math.
It's also something that could be taken to higher levels of complexity very easily through recursion and sequencing that would make it much more difficult to break.
I'm not a huge crypto buff. It's actually a small part of Information Theory that is something that I cleave to with a great deal of cleaviness. But it's also been a while since I've really delved into it.
So just for fun, here is the output of the encryptor, if anybody wants to take a crack at it.
