Okay, you didn't think that I was actually going to be posting naked pictures of me wearing tennis shoes, did you? I mean, you clicked on the link fer chrissakes. Some morbid sense of fascination with seeing me naked?
Well, okay. Just so's it's not a total loss, I'll show you a couple of pictures that I took on my walk yesterday.
Here are some of the highway hemp plants that I was talking about. They are growing just on the other side of the fence from the apartment complex. There are about six plants in the grouping, and the tallest one is about 12 feet.
Here is a close-up of one of the tallest ones. It looks purty, dunnit?
Now bear in mind that these are seedy hemp plants. They aren't really the kind of thing that you can harvest and smoke-- well, you could, but you'd probably get really sick before you got high, and it would just be nasty. If these were actual smokeable marijuana, these plants would probably produce somewhere around 4-5 lbs. of seeded buds.
These things are growing all over the place down here. And they are seed hemp, which is extremely useful for things like biodiesel and birdseed. The fibers from the stalks make excellent paper, and the remaining leafy material can be converted to biomass for fueling things like converted coal-fired electric plants.
I like to go look at them.
