It has happened.

For the first time since I've been here, they have bumped the schedule up and into July. My last day (according to the schedule) is now July 7th.

Now I don't put a lot of stock in that schedule. The real test is the contract renewal, which I still don't have a clear timeframe on, but appears to be the end of April.

But there has been a recent batch of feature additions in three stages. I am definitely on for the first two phases, and it looks like they may want me to stay for the third phase.

Into July. To paraphrase eldogo, Holy crap.

Things to consider: the remaining two phases of the project are short-scheduled. There is a lot of information that has not been processed about these features that will take some time to handle that has not been accounted for, so I'm betting that these dates will slip as well.

Next wash is to see if it hits August.

They have also extended Rakesh's contract for another month or so. Which is unreal, considering how they have treated him. I have taken to calling him "toaster" as an inside joke-- he is an easily replaceable component, an appliance to be discarded at will.

Replaced the shower head and stem. The new head is a lower-flow piddly thing and I'm not terribly enthused with the gentle-shower nature of it; I may…
