The thing is, I'm not the best at any one thing. There is always someone who is better at something than I am. Really, when someone can specialize in something and focus almost everything on that, it is likely that they will be better than a generalist.
But where does that leave me in the big bad world? I can do a lot of things, but I'm not the best at any of them, and people tend to either want the best they can afford, or the cheapest they can get.
I really want to find satisfaction in what I do. And I want to make a comfortable living doing it. I suppose that is pretty much what everyone wants.
And to keep me from being bored to tears, I think I need to do a variety of things. They don't all have to be work-- I can still retain some hobbies-- but I do want to work at things I enjoy, and in an environment where I can enjoy them.
