On selfishness

I've been watching the news all day. Hard to avoid really, unless you watch the WB. Which really throws off my schedule. I'd rather be watching COPS and Judge Judy. I can't help thinking how this war is inconveniencing my viewing schedule.

Is that selfish?

I mean really-- how does this war affect me directly? Other than a sense of disgust, I'm still walking the dog, looking for a job, and scratching my ass like normal. Hey, I'm not asking for more. Intellectually I hate seeing all of the destruction, while at the same time I'm marveling at the technology of the U.S. war machine, but it's less involving than a videogame.

And I have plenty of other stuff to be thinking about.
