Proposed Rules of Engagement

For the videos:

If you are using factual data, back it up. Citations, folks.

Opinions are fine as long as they are presented as opinions.

No death threats.

No spouting "Bush Sucks" for three minutes. Sorry saveau.

Work to the top of your intelligence.

If you plan to use music or video from other sources, get clearances first.

If you have specific locations in mind, make sure they are available.

If you have special effects in mind, consider what they may cost.

I'm sure there will be more. Anybody have suggestions?

Hi. My name is Jon. I'm from the heartland of America, I've lived in South Dakota and Minnesota. I'm a Christian and I helped win this election for George W. Bush.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't vote for him. I don't support his policies or agree with almost any of his positions on almost anything.

See, I helped George W. Bush win the election of 2004 way back in the 1980s and 90s. I did it by not standing up in my church against the other Christians who bought into the ideological principles of the farthest radical right, instead of remaining true to the theological principles our ancestors died for innumerable times the last two thousand years.

When the kind of Christianity that fed this election crept into the heartland and rural churches I grew up in, I didn't say, "No! We don't believe those things!" I stood by in silence.

Now people believe George Bush is both chosen by the people and chosen by God. I don't believe that, but I did nothing to stop it over the last 20 years. I believe my family can one day forgive me. I pray my country will.

[Fade to black.]

Nah. That probly ain't no good. But it's pretty true.
