Had toys when I got back to the apartment. My lights came, and the bulbs (shipped separately from a different company) were here as well. I did a scratch build on one set of two lamps, and I'm thinking that a two-lamp fixture is pretty damn bright. I may just make three fixtures instead of two.

Fun bit of engineering: the reflectors are quasi-parabolic, meaning that if I can think of a way of changing the mounting distance on the fly, I can change the focus along one axis. It may not be worth doing-- the light is pretty broad to begin with, and there are better ways of dealing with it.

Still, it's pretty damn cool.
