Grumpy Monday

Woke up this morning to a fresh blanket of snow on top of all of the
rain that had frozen sometime during the night. And since I got back so
late, I ended up having to park on the leeward side of one of the
parking garages. Couple that with a stiff wind, and it appears that I
was parked in the one place where all of the snow decided to go to die,
so my vehicle was buried under a good foot of snow. And under that, a
layer of ice.
Got to work to find an e-mail from the embedded systems software manager
reminding us that we should all be on "the same page", and reiterating
the list of features that we will be delivering in seven
. This is despite repeated status reports and actually being
told that we will not be making those dates.

Like an ostrich in concrete.

Yet another film project has been added to the queue. My fault really
for catalyzing it, though the parties involved have all been thinking
the same thing. No budget again, though I'm kind of used to that by now.
It's gonna be a busy year.

I've kind of decided that I'm not really good at relationships.
Friendships, yes, but with any sort of romantic involvement I tend to be
too distracted. Of course, having a buttload of film projects as well as
home repair projects that I need to do are probably centric to that.

I need to do taxes. I finally have everything collected in one place,
now I need to organize it and transfer all the receipts to excel by
category. It's tedious, but it makes the actual doing of the taxes much
