waiting for an app to crash

Sometimes it crashes in 20 minutes, sometimes 20 hours. It's like
watching paint dry, only not as interesting.

Just thinking about what I have to do back at the apartment. I was
trying to get some writing done on Z vs. S, but I'm just not into
it today.

I need to go grocery shopping. I'm all but out of food. I need to pay
bills and organize my receipts for tax time. Workout tonight, at least
that's the intent. Depends on how late grocery shopping goes.

Still a little under the weather, but the overall sickness seems to have
abated somewhat. Maybe that whole echinacea/VitaminC/sleep thing has
worked. Maybe I'm just lucky (though that is unlikely considering my
penchant for respiratory illnesses). Or maybe it's gonna come up and
bite me in the ass when I least expect it.

I've been thinking about the concrete block work I need to do for the
house. Considering that's the most exciting thing that's been happening
today, you can get the idea about where I am mentally.

I'm planning on doing half-block on the front of the house. That's the
stuff that's 16 x 8 inches by 4 inches deep (regular concrete block is
16 x 8 x 8). I'll do those side wings first, and they will give me a
nice flat surface to join the porch foundation walls. Plus, they're
smaller pieces that will give me some practice with mortar and lining
everything up properly. Not that I'm expecting anything to be completely
out of the ordinary or anything, I've just never done masonry before.
I'm betting it's a lot like anything else in that building sense:
preparation is the key.
