Sounds stormy out there. Probably not a bricklaying night.

Watched Constantine last night. Odd movie. Keanu was not the right choice for the part, he's too pretty. Someone more rugged and worn would have been better. It probably still wouldn't have been a great movie-- too many character shortcuts. And I'm not really throttled by the whole angels and demons source material... it just seems way too catholic for me to get into.
But you never see pagan horror movies anymore.

Cool effects though. Waaay too many of them, but pretty. And I really wanna know how they did that first damn stunt. I single-framed that whole thing, and it's seamless.

Back during the Frostbite Redux paaty, I had a brief convo with Frost that kind of pointed out that I really don't have a reel. And you know, I probably should. It would be a good idea to put something together so I can show off what I can do to potential clients, just in case there are any potential clients out there. And perhaps go a bit more in-depth on the website (which really is out of date now, dammit!).

I've been trying to think of a short film to shoot that has enough effects work in it that I can use as a show-off piece. And of course, I love the sci-fi and horror genres. The big downside is that I don't have access to a space big enough to use as a studio where I can build things like standing sets and have lighting set up on a semi-permanent basis. Something where I can rig up a flying harness and do stunts.

Maybe it's time to re-think the garage again.
