Fuckin' IRS.

We changed your 2004 return. As a result of these changes, you owe $2,203.44 as shown in your tax statement below.

No explanation of the changes. Ten days to pay.

Fuckers!

On a good note, I hit the bricks like a madman tonight and managed to get both the front and the south side wall (with the vent!) dry stacked. Sixty blocks in all if you must know. And three spider bites.

I still have the entire top rim and the south side house wall to do. Those will take a bit extra, as there will be cutting of blocks to make them fit. But damn, it's a significant portion done now.

I may not be able to move tomorrow...

What -- the fuck?!?

Shit, without a richly detailed and *extremely* convincing explanation of why the government SUDDENLY decided it needs another $2,200, I would tell them to go fuck themselves. Didn't Our Imperious Leaders just decided that they'd rather put old ladies out in the streets than raise anybody's taxes?

Well, I figure that they's leave it to me to figure out what the issue is. So I went back and checked my return.

oops.

I counted one of the estimated tax payments twice.

Fuck.

I think you'd better call the IRS & get some more details. That just isn't right!!! :(

My screw-up. I checked my return against their numbers, and I counted one of my estimated tax payments twice.

That freaking sucks! I swear, I have yet to meet anyone who got a signifigant return last year. Instead, all I've heard is "Wow, I had to pay in a lot!"

Pisses me off.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm working on script breakdowns today.

Are we still shooting for Monday to start shooting? Shoot!

Huh. Maybe that's why I haven't gotten my state return yet. Neither has Josh. 'Cause, y'know, we're actually poor enough that we generally get money back, rather than the other way around.

Of course, that changes this year.

Lord knows, I wouldn't doubt it. The tax burden really has been, well, a burden this year.

Oh, well. Trying to get better here. Talk about a crappy, crappy cold!
