Tony's blog has more pictures of the production. This is behind-the-scenes stuff.

This is the big-ass butterfly that we used to bounce the world's largest blacklight to make for the night blue wash.

A bit blurry, but you can see a bit of the lighting in place. And the fact that just outside, it's daylight.
That is the setup for these shots:

Another setup. The lighting is much more visible in this one, with a pretty decent shot of the ubiquitous china balls.
Josh is on the floor booming, Tony in the back on camera, I'm on the far left motion-blurring.

Incidentally, that's the setup for This shot:

A couple more:

And Dearest Darling Sasha, geared up as Syiera:

Wow! Looks like an awful lot of hard work!!! I knew that, but never really think about it when I sit down to watch a movie. Well, at least not from the behind the scenes viewpoint. I am now finding myself thinking about the actors & what they are experiencing/conjuring in their portrayals. I am interested in acting.

I've been an actor several times. It can be a lot of fun, but it's also some very hard work, emotionally draining. To be really good, you need to be able to expose yourself, and become very vulnerable.

The behind-the-scenes stuff I've found to be more my speed, and I seem to have a thing for lighting and composition. It is very much craft, but there is an element of artistry to it that I really like.

The picture really doesn't do her justice. I would really love to do a glamour set with her dressed up in 40's elegance, like a Greta Garbo or Jean Harlow shoot.

Plus she has had a lot of dance training from an early age, so she is amazingly agile, and has something of a killer bod.

And right now she's my roomie. There are worse things.
