Started off with Val coming home late. She was supposed to be home by noon so that Barb could take her on an errand before the concomm meeting, but Val didn't show up until about 1:15. So I got called into service to take Val on her errand. Which turned into several errands. Finally made it home around 4:00, and started feeling a little oogy, so I took a nap. When Barb came home, I pretty much woke up, and the rest of the day was spent very low-key, finally ending with a DVD session of "Frailty", Bill Paxton's directoral debut. It's an interesting movie. I liked it a lot as the story is really intriguing, and Bill Paxton does a *really* good job in his acting role as well as director. But the thing I think I love the best are the extras. There is a wonderful bit on the anatomy of a scene, where a particular bit from the movie is dissected, and shows in-depth what it took to put it together. Fascinating stuff.
In other news, there is a project I've been working on. It has turned out to be much bigger than the original scope had suggested, and I've had to let go of a major portion of the project to someone else. This person has made some decisions in the design and execution that are not the same ones I would make. Normally I would be freaking out about it, but so far I have been really good about just letting it go and trusting that he knows what he is doing.
Interestingly enough the same thing is happening to me. My portion of the project has run into some interesting issues, which I am dealing with, but the others involved are questioning. I say trust me, I know what I'm doing.
It will be interesting to see it all come together.
Plus I found out today that there was some sort of mistake in the original budget, and we have something like 75% of what we were originally told. And a big chunk of money has already been spent, which means we may go in the hole on this one.
Sorry for being so generic, but specific details are out of the question at this point.
