The TV was to go above the fireplace downstairs. A really good location for the room, and it leaves the room a lot bigger without the really big rear-projection TV sucking up space. It meant drilling into brick, but since I have a hammer drill and masonry bits, it shouldn't be a problem.
I discovered a few things:
1.) Apparently at the time the house was built, someone had invented brick made from adamantium. The bricks were unbelievably hard, and it took a big chunk of time and the death of a few bits to make it happen.
2.) Using a hammer drill above your head for long periods of time is freaking exhausting.
Finally got the holes drilled, the anchors installed, and the TV in place. And it's really freakin' cool.
Trey ended up being sick, so the stuff we were going to shoot got postponed. And really, by that time, we were all kind of ready for a non-shooting social night. Sasha came over, and shortly after there was
Best line of the night:
"Size doesn't matter, bitch!"
So all in all, a fabulous social weekend.
Today I should work on the porch. And I'm not hung over. Nope, not at all. Not one tiny bit.
