Something that you may or may not know about me: I do character voices.
Not all of them are cartoony. They do end up being a bit silly quite often, most likely because when I'm in the mood to do voices, it's usually a time when silly is appropriate. Or hugely inappropriate.
There is one character that I do that is my favorite: Doctor Oblivioso, the Latin Doctor of Love. He has his own thing that he does, and when I start in on the voice, a part of me becomes Dr. Oblivioso, and he essentially drives. I hear stuff come out of my mouth that I didn't think of, it was the doctor.
Which if you haven't ever lived in my head can sound vaguely disturbing.
I don't have the voice down consistently yet. SOmetimes the accent is thicker than others, sometimes there is a slightly Oxfordian touch to it, sometimes it deteriorates into almost irish (which is a really odd mix). But generally, Doctor Oblivioso is a decent character to do.
I do wonder a bit about the slightly schizophrenic quality of this. Maybe there are a lot more people living in my head than I know.
Fuckers need to pay rent.
